Topic: understanding the things given to us for life and godliness.

Heb.4:16.prov.24:16.
The church in the 80's knew so much about the things given to us for godliness but not so much for life... So they were very holy and godly but had lapses in the things given to us for life.. Such as wealth, protection, favour, prosperity etc.
In this generation, the reverse tend to be the case, we know what God has given to us for life, so you see Christians are becoming very prosperous but then very deficient on the things giving to us for godliness, so you see all manner of struggling with sin( fornication, masturbation, adultery,exam malpractice etc..)
Paul said immorality should not once be mentioned among us...
Today we read the scriptures prov24:16 and comfort ourselves in our sins because the Bible says the just man falleth seven times and riseth up again, no! As Christians, as a leader now, a worker, you mustn't use it ,no! You can't lower your standard of holiness.
Today immorality is rampant even in the church..
Things giving to us for godliness.
- the divine nature. Ephe.4:24...
We have a new nature now as born again,the nature of God.
We must understand it, and walk in the light of it.
2)the Holy Spirit prov.24:10.
He is the Spirit of holiness giving to help you leave a holy life.
Spend time with Him and He will mortify, deaden your flesh.
- a lively conscience.
God said He will give you a new heart and take away the heart of stone of this flesh...
Your conscience is the voice of your spirit, the voice of the body is feeling and the voice of the mind is reason.
Your body(flesh) is not born again you can't listen to it, if you want to live a holy life.
...but your spirit is born again, it has the nature of God, listen to it(allow it lead you) always if you want to live a holy life..
Most prostitutes today didn't just decide to be prostitutes, they started by sleeping with one person from there started sleeping around, became so sexually loosed that they grew worse into lesbianism, Gay, prostitution etc..
Because these demons won't stop until they completely destroy their victims destiny.
If only we can listen to our conscience we won't get into the trouble we got ourselves into.

You grow physically by feeding and as you eat healthy and grow physically and mentally you drop childishness.
The same thing happens when you focus on growing spiritually, studying the Bible personally, attending DCA.. Listening to tapes, not missing church services. That's how you will out grow the sins and addictions you're struggling with.

Most believers keep quite in the face of temptation No!
Jesus Christ on the mount of temptation overcame the devil by firing the word of God at the very temptation as he replied the voice of the devil speaking to Him.
Don't keep silence at the sight of temptation, No! Speak God's word against it. It will save you from allot.

Confessing to God but also to man.
Confessing to God gets you forgiveness, but won't stop the sin... But confessing to someone(your pastor, your leader)in the faith the area of struggle you have and they will help you to be free from it fast.
They will also serve as accountability partner.
If someone comes to confide in you ,please don't spread the matter abroad, your duty should be to restore such a one in meekness, not as though you're better.
