Some areas have been dealing with a growing issue surrounding coyote populations and in Huntington Beach where they've reportedly been aware that the coyotes are on the rise a family is now set to sue the city after a little girl was attacked and left scarred.
There have been various attacks from coyotes on children, small pets, and others, and city authorities have tried to tackle the issue.
If people continue to be targeted by coyotes, might we see more of the same where they go after the city for failing to do more?
There have been other sightings and reported attacks taking place in Huntington Beach area, and they've hosted forums locally to bring up the issue.
They've already come up with a coyote management plan previously and have suggested that community members look to remove food sources, avoid planting fruit trees, not to put up bird feeders, and to keep pet food inside their homes as well. Coyotes have expanded around the US and the nationwide population is continuing to grow. While some might be happy to see them walking around their neighborhoods for others they are quite the nuisance and pose a potential danger to their kids and pets.
