Starbucks has recently decided to drop their COVID-19 vaccine mandate for U.S. workers after the recent Supreme Court ruling on the matter which also blocked the mandate from forcing businesses to require their employees get vaccinated.
Following that ruling Biden urged businesses to voluntarily make that choice for their companies and their employees.
Now those employees won't be required to face getting tested or vaccinated or risk losing their jobs after they have made the move to reverse that policy. That mandate was expected to go in at the beginning of Feb.
Some wonder who might be next to follow? But then there are many other companies that are still getting ready to fire employees that don't submit to the mandate like Nike, Colombia Sportswear, Citigroup, and others.
There are some who suggest that a majority of workers are in favor of this in the United States but some of those polls have only asked around 2,000 people for their opinion on the matter. There have already been many thousands of individuals who have decided to leave careers and risk being ridiculed nationally and within their own communities around the U.S. because they wanted to make a choice for themselves, rather than be forced into something they don't see a need for or don't agree with etc.
