It has been found that the Ministry of National Defense has decided to discharge all 11 generals who were suspended for boarding the so-called "crime bus" during the December 3 emergency martial law.
As a result of MBC's report, the military authorities plan to sequentially discharge those generals who have not been assigned after severe disciplinary action from today after practical deliberation.
A military official told MBC, "If the generals are not assigned, they will be discharged from the military," adding, "It will not take long for all the generals to be discharged from the military."
After the National Assembly voted to lift martial law, the total number of passengers on the "Gyeom Bus" left Gyeryongdae Army Headquarters for Seoul at around 3 a.m. on December 4, 2024.
The Ministry of National Defense fired one general and demoted two to a colonel among the 14 passengers of the "martial law preparation" suspected of "preparing for the second martial law," while the remaining 11 were suspended for one to three months.
The decision to be discharged from the military is interpreted as an intention to preemptively block concerns that retired generals could take up positions again after the end of disciplinary action and reaffirm the stance of punishing participants in the rebellion.

Suspects of participating in martial law, which could be dangerous in the future, have been excluded from the front line.
I think I can relax for now.
