U.S. President Donald Trump has said he expects to receive an answer from Iran soon on the terms of the end of the war.
President Trump met with reporters at the White House on the 8th (local time) and said, "I will probably get a letter from Iran tonight," when asked if he received an answer from Iran about the U.S. requirements. He added, "We'll see how it goes."
The United States and Iran have been in a ceasefire since the 7th of last month.
Later, the first high-level talks held from the 11th to the 12th of the same month ended without an agreement, but the two sides continue behind-the-scenes negotiations under the mediation of Pakistan.
The U.S. has reportedly asked Iran to suspend uranium enrichment for 20 years and reopen the Strait of Hormuz in stages.
President Trump's remarks are interpreted as meaning that Iran could soon come up with an official answer to such U.S. demands.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who is visiting Italy, also told reporters that he expects Iran to come up with an answer regarding the end-of-war agreement in a few hours.
"I hope Iran will come up with a serious proposal," Rubio said.

In the end, it all comes down to how Iran decides to respond on the nuclear issue.
They’re saying they want to go beyond the agreement reached during the Obama administration, but as I’ve mentioned repeatedly, it was actually the United States that walked away from the negotiation table that had already been in progress.
This didn’t have to escalate to this point. The biggest problem was Trump being swayed by a single remark from Netanyahu.
Let’s not overdo it.
