While there were reports that the U.S. and Iran were close to an agreement to end the war, Iranian state media also mentioned some of the agreements between the two countries and reported that measures to refrain from mutual attacks were discussed.
According to Reuters on the 24th (local time), Iran's FARS news agency said the draft of a potential memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the U.S. and Iran stated that the U.S. and its allies would not attack Iran and its allies.
In return, Iran also promised not to launch any preemptive military strikes against the United States and its allies.
U.S. online media Axios said earlier that the U.S. and Iran are close to signing an MOU on the 60th that calls for extending the ceasefire, opening the Strait of Hormuz, and nuclear negotiations.
The two countries reportedly discussed plans to open the Strait of Hormuz, lift the blockade of Iran, and hold further negotiations over the suspension of uranium enrichment, the disposal of highly enriched uranium and easing sanctions.
So far, the U.S. and Iran have not officially announced the agreement.

“Conflicting reports about this insane war continue.
Still, it’s somewhat relieving that both sides seem to be moving closer to an agreement.
But I truly don’t understand why this useless war was fought in the first place.”
