The former Constitutional Court lawyer expressed surprise over the far-right's claim that there is a Chinese among the Constitutional Court researchers. Regarding People's Power Party representative Na Kyung-won's proposal to restrict the hiring of foreign public officials in the Constitutional Court, he said he did not understand the intention.
On the 21st, lawyer Noh Hee-bum said in an interview with MBC radio's "Kim Jong-bae's Focus" that it was surprising that President Yoon Suk-yeol's ardent supporters claimed that "three constitutional researchers are Chinese." He stated that such claims are not based on facts.
Lawyer Noh explained that constitutional researchers are specific national public officials with guaranteed status, essentially equivalent to judges, and are hired after passing the bar exam. Foreigners cannot become specific public officials, and he has never heard of or known any Chinese or Chinese Koreans in such positions. Lawyer Noh started his legal career as a constitutional researcher at the Constitutional Court in 1998, served for 17 years, and became the spokesperson for the Constitutional Court in 2009. He is now active as a lawyer and constitutional expert.
He expressed that if someone was a former judge, it is puzzling whether they do not know the law or are just lying as part of their everyday life, as they claim to know the law well.
These individuals seem to lack a conscience, being willing to speak blatant lies for their own benefit.
Do we really need to keep such people in positions of influence and listen to their lies?
