[Herald Economy = Reporter Jung Mok-hee] On the 29th (local time), U.S. President Donald Trump said the U.S. is negotiating directly and indirectly with Iran and expects an agreement to be reached "quite early."
President Trump said in a brief conference with reporters on the presidential plane returning to Washington, D.C., from Florida, where he spent the weekend, "We are negotiating extremely well with Iran."
Regarding the requirements of the 15 provisions that the U.S. delivered to Iran, Trump said, "They gave us most of the requirements. Why wouldn't they?" and added, "They are agreeing to our plan. We asked for 15 things, and we will ask for a few more."
In particular, he said Iran had decided to allow 20 large oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz from the morning of the 30th.
"And today they gave us another gift. They gave us 20 crude oil to ship tomorrow," he said, referring to Iran's recent approval of 10 oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
"We are holding very good talks, directly and indirectly, and I think we are getting very important requirements," Trump said.
However, President Trump said, "Iran is really unknown. Even though we negotiate with them, we always have to destroy them."
He said he was "pretty sure" of the possibility of a deal with Iran, but also said, "There is a possibility that we may not be able to reach an agreement."
President Trump continued, "But we've achieved a regime change. As you can see, one regime was exterminated and destroyed, and all of them died," adding, "Most of the next regime is dead, too. And the third regime, we're negotiating with other people who have never dealt with anyone before. It's a completely different group."
"So I regard it as a regime change. And frankly, they (current negotiators) are very reasonable," he said.

It’s hard to tell whether this is genuine preparation for a full-scale TACO or just a smokescreen.
He’s the one blocking things himself, yet acting like he’s deciding what to allow or not—it’s truly insane behavior.
The one putting the entire world at risk is Trump himself.
