Dear child,
I know you would be curious to know what gender I would have preferred you to be. I would just say that you are a priceless gift to me and I wouldn’t want it any other way. You can only limit yourself as long as you allow it. No gender is superior. I have seen a lot of men with great potential and they influenced their world. I have seen a lot of amazing women with big dreams and they actualized them. There is no limit to what you can do. As long as you have the desire for it, go for it.
Life is full of challenges, but how you see them is all that matters. Some problems are not as bad as they look, some situations are not as dire as they sound, it is all in our approach. When life happens, respond to it, don’t react to it. They are clearly two different things. Maintain a positive mindset. With it, you will see challenges as speed bumps, that temporarily stop you, so that you can have a moment of reflection on how far you’ve come and how long you need to push. Always stay motivated regardless. I didn’t tell you it would be easy, I am only telling you it is totally worth it.
I look forward to having you in my arms while watching your mother beam with smiles and excitement. One thing you should know is, we would be proud of you. We ooze awesomeness as your parents, hahaha, how else do you expect to turn out?
I will give you the choicest of things, and I will never forget to remind you how privileged you are to have them, so you can be grateful, humble, and of course, learn to be kind. I will tell you about life and how you need to stay humble.
You will learn respect, and give honour to whom it is due. I will tell you how your mother carried you for nine months and the dramas she performed while at it, so you can learn to respect her even more because anyone can be a mother, but it takes someone special to be called mum. When you see what she has been through for you, then you will understand the love behind her actions.
In this life, you really have to be kind. The world is full of heartache and hurt, and people who have forgotten what it means to dream and love. But with your kindness, you can bring a bright smile to the ailing world and heal her of hurts. You can be that shining light and a reason why someone else can dream again. Dare to be different, everyone else is taken.
