The problem is the statistics of people who have done something with the help of an alphabet agency, and those without. I have seen reports of it being 100%, and am pretty sure that it is about 90%.
The other problem is, the type of people the alphabet gets are unhinged, idiot types. These types, if left to their own devices can tie their shoe laces. They could not follow any of the recipes in the Anarchists cookbook. So, without the hand holding, and the emotional manipulations, they would never have done anything bigger than graffiti.
Also, entrapment is one of the stupidest ways to catch criminals. Yes, the po po do it because it works... there is always a sucker. However, I have rarely seen a govern-cement agency work against a criminal organization. Usually they are a part of it. So, I feel this post just showcases the ineptitude of the system of policing.
