A veces confundimos el verdadero significado de ser líder, por ejemplo lo confunden con ordenar , cuándo es todo lo contrario, ser líder consiste en tener la sabiduría y la humildad para motivar a su equipo a crecer , lo estimula a avanzar mediante el respeto, ya que el líder es considerado un referente positivo que motiva e inspira a su equipo , esto quiere decir que, el verdadero líder suma , motiva, apoya, escucha y acompaña a su equipo, además fomenta el cambio, la transformación , el pensamiento crítico, la innovación y reconoce los logros de su colectivo.
Mediante sus acciones transmite seguridad, confianza, lealtad, empatía, resiliencia, por tal motivo el líder es importante en toda organización porque estimula el sentido de pertenencia, el potencial humano y genera productividad, porque un buen líder influye e impacta positivamente en su colectivo.
Existen varios tipos o estilos de liderazgo por ejemplo el líder coercitivo el cual es autoritario, donde las decisiones son centralizadas y quiere que sus empleados cumplan de inmediato con las actividades asignadas y no se percibe la motivación, en cuanto al líder visionario es entusiasta , tiene una visión clara de lo que quiere , por otro lado el líder afiliativo le da valor a las emociones, estrellas vínculos afectivos, se aprecia lealtad , motivación, comunicación y libertad , mientras que el líder participativo estimula y propicia el buen clima laboral , fomenta la integración , en cada decisión toma en cuenta al equipo , también podemos mencionar el líder capacitador que estimula y orienta el desarrollo profesional, empodera el equipo.
