I have been thinking today a lot on 'the rich' of steemit. I think the idea came from a recent conversation I had with one such person lately. I asked them the question if being rich changed them as a person and they informed me , in which I trust to be their honest answer, that it had not.
Then I looked at myself, and I can honestly say hand on heart, that I too would always remain humble.
Appreciation
When someone does something nice for me, I remember to thank them, because well.. its easy to see in their face that their gesture meant something to you and that gives them the sense your seal of approval. The wonderful thing about these magical words, is that I also feel good about myself when I show my gratitude to others, I know that they will think nice thoughts about me , and that gives me that warm fuzzy feeling :)
Praise Others
I know it works for me when others praise me, especially in my job, it gives me that extra spurt of energy too. Ever see how happy a child becomes when you tell them they have done something well ?? Exactly :)
Kindness is next to Godliness
Something I have learned through the years ( I am making myself seem old now :P ), is that when you be kind to others, the kindness seems to bounce back ' right at ya'. Its true. Little acts of kindness , change the attitudes to others around you, try it I'm not lying!
Listening to others
It sounds like a no brainer, I know. But I for one, find it so frustrating when you are talking to another person and they are not taking the blind bit of notice to what you are saying - haha!!.. you kind of know when this is happening as they will answer with a ''yes'' or a ''no'' when neither suits the conversation :// !!!( familiar?). Listen attentively and it shows you simply care about what the person has to say, we express ourselves through speech after all!
After all ..
How you make others feel about themselves says a lot about you
and here's me playing around as to not take myself too seriously :D:D
