Yeah... as said.

Call this a rant, but it's also an expression of my introverted side which I am sure many of you out there can relate to.

1) You've better plans which crop up but you can't back out because you already RSVP-ed

This happened to me the last two weddings I attended.

I RSVP-ed months in advanced. As the date drew nearer, something better, to me came up. But I couldn't go obviously.

I felt so pissed off!

It just irks me to know that I'm chained to something I am deigned to attend in the first place.

Because you have to give a token and attend the wedding and shit.

Boom. Just like that. Your hard-earned money, gone.

You know it is like that.

It's kind of obvious, especially when you're seated at a table with a bunch of people you don't even know.

Then you have to make small talk with those around you.

Oh my god. Hell.

Okay. I get it. It's your wedding. It's your big ass day. Everything should go your way.

But... man, I am sorry-not-sorry to say this, I really don't care.

I really don't care that it's your wedding.

To whine, complain and then hint that I am not a good friend just because I express my right to not attend is really not cool.

To blatantly add me to a chat group as part of your mass invite even though I haven't seen you in ten years.

To actually only contact me just because your wedding is here but you're never around for the rest of my life.

To actually think that you care about the sacredness of marriage when you're a cheater (Yes. I have friends like that.)

To act like you care about us attending, but when you're going to be busy for the rest of your life to come out again.

Come on man.

You know it all to be true.

The last wedding I actually enjoyed was my brother's one last year and that's obviously because it was family.

The rest... meh.
