Take it from me: A dude who left earlier before when it went down to shit in late 2016.
Here we go, only straight-up reasons.
hold that gold
1) If you want stability and a guarantee, get a job
Because employment is where you'd get the guarantee of an income, validation for your time, recognition for your work and arguably a sense of purpose.
Whether you're a full-time Steemian or not, the aspect of holding on to something uncertain in nature is something you need to overcome.
2) But you'll only get normal results in life
Nothing spectacular you know?
Just a good job, a promotion and all that.
If that floats your boat, by all means. But look at this way: Millionaires are not normal. They do abnormal shit.
What kind of things and what kind results do you want in life then?
3) That said, as a Steemian, always remember that you're a different specie
You're doing something different in life.
You're doing something considered weird or even crazy to others.
You're striking it out on your own and making boss-like movements.
There is no guarantee, but what you're doing is still something pretty cool. Heck, it's cause that there's no guarantee only you have the balls to something so cool. It never was for the faint of heart.
If you want some support, talk to other Steemians, not the normal people of society.
4) Patience is the name of the game and trust me, time flies
I am talking years ahead of today. Be it one, two or five years. It will fly by.
Please do not underestimate how fast time will go by. It'll seem scary so long as you keep focusing on the problems you have today and pairing it with your expectations of the future.
5) What goes down will go up
Call this is a quasi-guarantee, but it's pretty true for the volatile nature of crypto.
So chill.
It'll be back up.
6) Continue giving who you are back to the world
By writing.
By creating.
Someone out there kind of appreciates you.
Yes, I know this sounds cheesy and totally not worth it as you aren't being paid, but it's through the un-guarantee where your fire, your passion and your art comes forth.
No artist or accidental entrepreneur started by wanting to make a ton of money from it.
They did it cause they love it.
And it's this love that will spread and inspire others.
So do us a favor, and do it.
7) You look kind of stupid of only coming back for the good stuff
It's like talking to a friend again just because you know can get something out of it.
It's like being one of the stragglers who come back from more knowing that there's more.
It's like the insincere people of the world.
By then, the good stuff will be gone. Trust me.
