Our time in a given day is limited. With the day having 24 hours and us being required to spend a lot of it in things like biological needs (sleep takes a big chunk), family and social life, work, etc etc, the remainder of that time is not very much.
So some people will spend it in some area, some others in some other area - and that's the case here. You don't know what a polo trollbox is because you aren't a cryptocurrency trader. Poloniex, for example, is a cryptocurrency exchange. It has a chatbox on the right of the screen where traders talk. It's called a trollbox, because there is a lot of trolling - as would be expected from people trying to pump their own financial interests. Is it that you were "left behind"? No. You are just not a cryptocurrency trader. Likewise some cryptocurrency traders might have no clue about ebay listings, ratings, top-seller requirements and privileges, etc etc. It's just the way each one of us spends our time.
Now, in terms of steem, you don't need to know everything technical. The important thing is that this is a new type of blogging platform and you can get paid for writing, commenting, voting, etc. Sure, it gets somewhat more complicated than that when you try to analyse the details to maximize success, but isn't that the case everywhere?
RE: STEEMIT? What an I doing here? Is this real?
