Remember when you were a kid, you're taught and/or told to be honest and not lie? And then you grow up and see everyone constantly lying and deceiving others?
So it all comes down to this. It seems like the end of the road for me. It's like everything is my fault when taken from other people's perspective. Why? Because we are all for self preservation right? Rarely would we accept that we are wrong. Perhaps I am guilty, even if much less than the rest. I have my mistakes, sure like everyone else, but I do not lie and deceive others just to get something out of them.
Lately it's always me me me who's wrong like I never do anything right. It's always the other person who's right. Especially in front of other people, they always tell others how they are right and better than me at anything. Wow. How negative and low have stress and pressure taken people?
It wasn't always like this. At first, everything was good. Work was easy and fun. But then a major change at work came and now it's all stress, blaming and complaining and all that negativity I don't need. And they wonder why I don't listen to the deceitful things they say and do.
I don't do dirty, I dislike dishonesty and manipulation in all forms. As much as possible I do things in all honesty but now it's too blatant how different my behavior is in this career. It's like me against the world. It's always my word against others which shouldn't be the case. We are all one big team and yet it feels like they prefer that I just do everything they tell me to do even if that's not how I do things or some would rather take advantage of me. When you're always wrong in their eyes and ears because they're all the same, I see no point to correct them anymore. I have been judged by everyone when I do not even judge them for their behavior unless they become dishonest/manipulative with me first. Only now because it is kind of affecting how people see me. It's not a good picture at all.
Sales is a dirty world, second to politics and perhaps the police force too? What have our world come to? Money money money comes first and not the truth and well-being of the people. If you need rest, you're weak. If you don't show what you're doing, you're lazy. You "have to" be fake in order to be good in sales, it's either all a show to them or you have great results based on fooling and manipulating people. And they will look favorably at you if you're good at both. No wonder most people don't trust sales people. Most sales people in teams don't even trust each other. Ugh.
Generally, in this kind of environment, sales people tend to fake activities in order to produce numbers due to pressure and stress. If you do not comply to the rules of fakery, you're fcked. If you do not subject yourself to going over your limit, you're fcked. Fake it 'til you make it eh?
Or it's gonna be: No proof = you're wrong. In court, if there is no clear evidence of your innocence you're a criminal or you're the wrong one. At work (in sales or business), it's always about results. To most people, no matter what you do that's all that's important. You're not contributing a lot to the sales quota? Well then bye bye and good riddance or do something about it even if you're tired from working too much.
I'm not one to force, dupe or manipulate people into buying just so I have a sale. I've done everything I can without much rest for several months. No I'm not perfect and I don't do what goes against what I feel is right to do. It may be right to them but if it's not for me then I do what's right for me.
So then "good riddance" to me eh? Hah. Thanks but no thanks to working in a place I had expected would be all great until everything changed. Too much stress and pressure without enough rest is just not for me.
See you somewhere else where I can still sell properties and/or more. Hehe.
