I bet you think you’re just an ordinary person that no one considers important. And you’ve been admiring all those who have been so successful.
Who does the greatest things?
I bet you think it’s a man who became rich and powerful, who had his story in all the newspapers, on TV, etc?! Or someone who was a celebrated hero! …Something like that?
No! Look again at that word: ExtraORDINARY!
It’s the little ordinary guy or woman that does extra-ordinary things in the face of opposition or hardship that was so special.
Note: The reason that ordinary person stood out from the crowd was because they were passionately involved in what they did. They gave extra-quality service and `went the extra mile’ to please the masses.
Like Mother Teresa in India. She was just a plain ordinary person, yet the whole world remembers what she did …her attitude to life and how she cared for the poor.
Each of us has hidden talents!
Most of us don’t know we have them, because there hasn’t been a need to use them … until something happens that forces us to do something about the circumstances.
Divine intervention happens when, “When we compare: what we are, to what we have power to become!” (said by Neal A Maxwell in 1996)
That’s when we become discontent and yearn to do something greater, than what we’re presently enduring …that our inner power comes to the fore and pushes us to do something, anything to achieve our hearts desire.
You may have weaknesses:
But those weaknesses can be your stepping stones to success.
Think about it. How many people have the same weaknesses as you?
You can therefore understand their problems and relate to how they feel about it. You can help other people by telling them your experience of how you personally overcame those weaknesses. Thus giving hope to those that feel hopeless.
Combining your skills & weakness:
When you consider both… That’s what your personality consists of… a special force that you can use to propel your intentions forward, beyond what you ever thought possible.
Has that changed what you think of yourself?
Change your self-image:
Start to look at yourself as a force to be reckoned with.
You are the boss of your soul. And what you do with the little you have… is really up to you. You better believe it, you have the inner power to choose what you want to do, or not do.
Add quality to what you do, even if it’s mundane stuff.
It’s the simple things in life that make the difference.
- Let sunshine swell your heart. Remember to see beauty in everything. How the sun shines on plants and the song of the birds brightens your day, etc.
- Open your heart to the possibilities out there. Push the boundaries of your existence by thinking and dreaming big. It may seem silly at first, but it gives you hope.
- Express yourself differently. Put enthusiasm in what you say or do. Enthusiasm has a way of putting power into your heart and in others.
- Joy comes when you live deeply in the moment, of what you are creating or doing.
- When you smile, people think you are very successful! Keep smiling until you believe it too.
The extraordinary happens,
--When you lose yourself in the positive things you say and do.
It may take time. But in that time, make up your mind to enjoy yourself in whatever you doing. Time is valuable. It’s your life after all. So make it extraordinary special!
