As there was a sudden drop of temperature in Beijing, I wasn't feeling well. In fact, I was down with cold and occasional fevers but thankfully they passed
#When you have a cold in China, this is what every Chinese people will tell you.
1. Drink hot water
“Got a cold? Drink hot water.”
“Having fever? Drink hot water”
“coughing? Drink more hot water”
2. Wear more clothes
"Don’t wear clothes that expose belly button and the back, if the wind enter it will make you feeling more sick. Cover your neck, wear more layers, stay warm."
"Wear a mask, or your nose will bleed (from the dry air)"
3. Soak your feet in warm water
It keeps the blood circulation going and helps you to get better.
4. No oily and spicy food
"Fried food will make you sick!"
No fried chicken, no curry, no jalapenos or fries that will make your cold worse.
5. Drink ginger tea
Ginger tea helps to remove the "cold air" in your body and make your your body stay warm.
6. Absolutely no cold drinks
Cold water will make you sick. Read rule no.1
"If all else fails, see a doctor, the doctor will prescribe you some medicine, and tell you to drink more hot water."
