When I talked about electricity, my memory went straight to 3 moments.
- First is when I work in a PLTD owned by a private company named in Tulang Bawang - Lampung. In this integrated shrimp farming company, I work at the QA & EC Power House Laboratory. The perch of 22 Wartsila diesel engines each with a capacity of 3 MW. I can even remember, the headset I use every day does not so much reduce the noise of the giant machine. And mineral water in a bottle that always rippled when placed on the office table, due to the vibration of diesel engines that operate. Also a warm aura as it passes in the row of transformers behind the building. And the familiar scene is, the engine operators who are overhoul aka dismantling the machine. Their hands and faces are covered with oil and sweat-soaked clothes. What is clear, the situation that is always recorded in my memory is hot and noisy.
- Second, still in the same company. One of my friends works on the network. When repairing the network, there was a miscommunication with Power House. As a result, the body of the boss of my friend who still perched on the electric pole, had glowed when an electric current suddenly flowing. The body slid down and fainted. The only clear memory in my head is that their profession is a profession betting on lives. And communication errors are a thing to be understood to happen as human error, considering the operators in the Power House are human, not angels.
Beautiful scenery at night, less than 100 km east of my city. The Java Power, a steam power plant, Paiton power plant. Every traveler who passes the pantura line from Probolinggo to Situbondo must pass this power plant. And always, clicking amazed to see the grandeur, especially at night. Honestly, though not working there and also not the owner, I'm very proud of the power plant that sparkle beyond the market tonight.
- Third and last, my prayer for PLN, may be reached his determination to be a clean institution of all forms of corruption and hopefully PLN more professional in serving the community, loyal society and the light of the archipelago. Aamiin.
