Well, I wanted winter. I wished for it. I visualized it. I was ready for it.
Often they predict these storms and we get nothing.
I woke up to let the dog out...wet, slushy mess on the back stoop...I enjoyed my little pretend tree, all lit up and hoped some real snow would show up soon.
Which it did.
And after hours of the power flickering off and on, I took a peek out to realize our sketchy tree in the back corner had snapped off at the top. Our back neighbors JUST (as in last week) replaced that fence! And we had just broken off two little picket spikes as the tree rested atop the fence panel.
But I'm still not sad about winter finally coming!
Even if I do have to keep wondering about the rest of that tree.
Most of the day was spent hanging out with the dogs, playing in the snow a couple times. Orbit is practically bald, with hair instead of fur (A Boston Terrier) so he can't stay out long, even if he does love catching snowballs.
The night ended with card games by the fire while the dogs slept.
It was a good snow day. I got a little video of the dogs playing so I will try to share it...I'm just not at that level of expertise here, yet ;)
