I intended to take photos of the Jaspers today with the new phone with it's you beaut super fancy camera so I can get that post ready for next week.
I was in the office snapping up pics when the heat began to suck the life out of me. Self preservation kicked in and I decided to sit in the bath for a couple of hours instead and take the day off.
Here's a group shot of the jaspers before I abandoned the crystal photo shoot (to resume at an unknown date.)
Aren't they gorgeous? I love how clear the picture is.
When I'm as tired and zapped out of energy as I was, I don't really feel like doing the whole routine and mixing myself some bath salt.
This is where Lush comes in.
Bath Time with Lush.
Lush is one of my favourite companies. They fight animal cruelty, a lot of their products are vegan friendly and they support fair trade.
When we moved to the mountains, the only thing that got me through all the cleaning and the bleach at our old house was the promise of my very first Lush box.
This box.
The 29 Box is named after the very first Lush shop in the UK and is designed by Mina Lina, the artists responsible for the magical look of the Harry Potter franchise.
The 29 Box was limited edition and is by far is the most magnificent of them all in terms of design, usability and durability.
As awesome as the WOW box is, the design of the box itself and the dividers needs work.
The 29 Box has two levels.
As you can see I am still fully stocked which is bad because Lush is best fresh, so I thought I'll go all out a use a few things together.
The baa bar bubble bar.
This adorable little critter wants to tuck you up in a blanket of comforting lavender, rose and ylang ylang to help you bed down for the night. Fluffy clouds of soya milk cuddle you close and bring softness, while clove bud oil adds toastiness and warmth as you soak. A hint of bergamot teases out the grassier notes of fragrant lavender and violet, promising sweet dreams and a fresh tomorrow.
So adorable and deserved a photo on it's own.
I also added Shoot for the Stars bath bomb
Honey-scented sparkles of Brazilian orange and bergamot waltz with swirling, golden stars, creating a world of cobalt colour. As the calming blanket of shimmering, midnight blue unfolds, Brazilian orange and bergamot oils combine to send your mood rocketing up to the stars.
and a Golden Ring left over from Christmas 2015 š±
Can I just say... Check out the picture quality š I love this phone!!
As per usual, crystals have gotta go in my bath.
Same ones as last time. Figured it worked great before why mess with a winner.
Forget trying to take this photo with my old phone.
I added the bath bomb first so I could enjoy the swirl of colours Lush bath bombs are famous for and began to crumble a bit of bubble bar under the water.
You can sort of see the bubbles starting to form.
Bath time is always about music.
I can't be in the bath and not sing. The acoustics in there is awesome. Plus there's just something about the water and signing. For me it feels very healing and rejuvenating.
I got out when I could no longer ignore my growling stomach. Relieved to have escaped the worst of the heat I set off to continue on with what's left of my day with more relaxing and some lunch.
Yes, I had a bowl of ice cream for lunch š It is seriously that hot up here today.
5 days til Christmas!!
I'll be giving STEEM away for Christmas this year using the vouchers I made a few days ago and I figured why not get plain envelopes and use the Steemit gift tags as the label on the envelopes
BOOM!! Double Steemit promo!
Steemit promo doesn't stop just cos it's Christmas! In fact it's the perfect time to preach the word.
So I got to colouring..
With a few tags coloured in and 5 days to go I think I'm all done with Christmas prep this year.
I can't wait to see the relos who like my Steemit posts on Facebook over the holiday.
Sister here is ready to preach! š
As we head towards the Holidays please make sure you take a bit of time for yourself to chill and recharge. You deserve it.
