you mean to cover up their grey? I think if you do that you should go over the top and just go a crazy color like jet black or yellow.

I think tattoos often look good on people but just like how clothes fashion changes so does anything else. I recall how Jngo jeans were super popular when I was in college but they just ridiculous now. Imagine if you had to wear them because they were permanently attached to your body. That's how I look at tatts.
