This post is a short story about how brussels is being harvested.
My little adventure with brussels took place in a village close to Polish capital Warsaw.
I have recently started a plant-based diet and I found that the more I'm into it the more interest I have for plants and animals. It's amazing how big of an influence going out of the city has on us.
I never knew how brussels grows until I had to cut it and pick it up. That was a truly refreshing experience and I hope to attempt in similar activities soon. If you need help with some harvest just let me know ;)
#1 At first we need to cut the leaves from top part of plant.
#2 After we cut down the leaves we cut the whole pant
#3 Now we need to pack it tight in the metal cages
#4 Baskets full of brussel we then put into a chiller when they wait for the order from local stores.
...and now its time to hit the road back home.
