As everyone celebrated women's day yesterday, i can see so many empowering womens with their powerful voices. Every year, we try to bring change in one other ways.
We women knowingly or unknowingly faces so many harassment every single day. Some are victim of voilence by their own husband and some are socially harassed by so called manhood bunch of people. While travelling in public vehicles, we can see girls being sexually harassed.
But they can't open their voice in public. They are not allow to speak rather they escape the situation. Our society has make up our mind in such a way that girl should be silent no matter what happens. When we don't be vocal we will be victim twice again, thats for sure. We can only make thm in fear only by our gestures too. It will be enough for such Inhumans.
As i wake up early in the morning , i came to read a news about a 8 year old girl raped by a group of people in a remote place of Nepal called Parsa. You can imagine a 8 year old girl is a victim. My heart wrenched out reading the news and looking at a victims picture with a blood clothed. Whats the use of celebrating women's day today? What the use of raising our voice against sexual harassment as it is happening every single day. I break down with my fraustration.
Her small body had been attached to life-saving machines at the intensive care unit of Kathmandu's Hospital. As the reported came to hospital er father sat outside, desperate with agony, crying intermittently. Those who talked to him ended up crying too.
The details of the crime were shocking. The young girl had not only been raped but the rapist had inserted pieces of wood inside her vagina.
She was found in a rubbish pile the day after she disappeared. The violence with which she was attacked, abused, violated and eventually shocked the nation for a while.
You can imagine how hard for me to describe all these pain being a women. Feminism is not only about empowering women but also to raise voice against such harassment. Women should be other women’s natural allies. The fact that they are not is not accidental. It is the genius of cultural design – to ensure that each woman stays alone and isolated. If women came together to stand up for each other against unfairness or misuse of power, whether in the home, offices or on the streets, it would break the cultural, social, political and economic arrangements that prop up the power and privileges of men, and the non-existence of women as full human beings.
