This past week had been a long and tough one, so it’s no surprise to me that I’m feeling totally under the weather. Besides Covid lurking around every corner, the seasonal flu, stomach bugs, and nasty ass head colds are making the rounds heavily in our area as well. My daughter has half her workforce at her job out with illness, friends and customers are being hit…so it was just a matter of time until the inner cry baby in me is released due to some cooties.
We snagged some of the Covid rapid tests and I plan on testing tomorrow. My daughter took one again just about an hour ago and came back negative, so I’m hoping it’s just a nasty cold. No fever or chills but I can’t stop sneezing or blowing my nose. I look as it I’m dying with sone insanely dark circles around my eyes. Speaking of eyes, they just keep leaking which is pretty disgusting and makes it look as though I just got done watching the dog die in (name any movie containing a dog death).
Luckily, the wife prepared some tasty stew for supper tonight and that hit the spot well even though I open mouth sneezed into my bowl at one point. Humans are pretty disgusting…
I really wanted to pop up a cool post about some new Spidey art I just received, but I’ll wait until tomorrow to show it off to you all, as I don’t want to drip snotsicles on expensive original art. So tomorrow it is!
Tomorrow’s checklist of things to do besides leak gross gook from all my head holes include responding to comments here, popping up the art piece, some fun Splinterlands moves, and cleaning up my desk area. Fucking thing is a nightmare lately as I’ve been a disorganized clutterbug…but I’m trying to start 22 off properly and not slack anymore in areas that need tending to. All of this after a hopefully late wake up call.
Before I head off to chug Ny-Quil, I’d like to just wish you all a truly Happy New Year. We are all part of something truly unique and special that happening here, and I’m glad to be here along the journey with you folks. All of the wonderful, brilliant, and creative minds that make up our corner of the world here…all the supportive friends I’ve made along the way…you all are rockstars. I’m excited to see how the landscape evolves even further as I enter my 4th year here. I truly feel like It’s only just begun…
Happy New Year’s!!!
