Hey Steemians,
I love watching projects come together, whether their mine or someone else's. I love that sense of accomplishment when you finally create that vision you have in your head. Which is why I'm using my channel here to give you some behind-the-scenes progress of how the #denode video series is developing.
Currently, I'm trying to nail down the branding and tone for the videos. Yesterday, I started on this title animation and here's the current iteration [sorry, the upload quality isn't great on youtube].
I built this lockup out using the font called Lobster and did all the animation in After Effects. I'm no expert at after effects - I'm more of an editor than mo-graphics guy - but I think this came out pretty good. I followed the Vox guideline on putting this together and it has (I feel) the same look and tone of their opening graphics. It's a bit clunky at the moment, but it'll come around after a few drafts.
The idea here is that each of these title animations that open up the videos are customized to reflect the palette and tone of each topic, but they'll all live in the same world of movement and feel. This is the current version I'm working on is for a video that discusses equity in #blockchain. Which, I'll be releasing soon.
