What a brilliant way to introduce Steemit to your peers, who still have a chance to be early adopters of this exciting new social media network. Steemit is a perfectly appropriate space for stars to practice their shining. To me, Steemit is divinely aligned with the arrival of the Creative Age, when we survive and thrive by our creativity. Steemit promotes creative thinking through contests and events such as the Steemit #openmic and the #culinarychallenge, rewarding participants with enthusiastic audience responses, plus other incentives. It's a smart way for students to gain a glimpse of the reality they might expect after school, when indeed they might have to be more self-reliant and self-sustaining than previous generations. In fact, I see college students here often, journaling about what they're learning in theater school, for example, or sharing discoveries with their peers in a technology class, like your example. Steemit can be very valuable, on emotional and social levels, and even monetary levels, for some. It can also be very humbling, and this comes with its own rewards, for those of us with the willingness to learn from our challenges. It's a place to practice blooming where we are planted, wherever and whoever we are. Here, artists create, co-create, and curate, with boosts from a community who appreciates the value of artistic expression as well as radical thought and outside-the-box problem solving. For people with natural talents for the arts, for hobby photographers, for aspiring musicians... this is a playground and a platform where we find our voice, stand for what we believe in, and reach out to others like us. This way, we Steemians are all doing our Work in the world, growing together.
