We were told by the Meteorological department to brace ourselves for heavy rains and that flash floods will be expected in low-lying areas. If there is a higher ground adjacent to lower ground, the lower ground is more likely to experience floods.
Heavy downpour was experienced in the capital. Many roads were affected Mombasa road, Jogoo road,areas in South C, Westlands, making them impassible due to floods.
Many people were stranded due to heavy traffic ,some had to get lifts from carts,where you pay a small amount of money .
It all comes down to poor drainage which the county government has failed to repair for years now. Hoping that soon a solution will be found.
