In my head I see things a little different from how others paint it, maybe for some reason ...

One of the things that is always spoken in simple terms; is the fact that our children see things a little different from others - what do you mean? - well; Many of them fail to understand the double meaning, some jokes, and all that is because their way of seeing (analyzing) things is very literal, textual and explicit.
For them, the one you tell them: "Do not eat a lot of sugar because you can die" they can pick it up as you say it; because in their mind they imagine that when eating many candies or a fruit smoothie with a lot of sugar, they can die of that. These children create a world by thinking something like that, while for us it is very insignificant.
The image reflects what people commonly say: "They are square", that is; literal when thinking and analyzing, and that is professionally called: "Rigid or inflexible thinking" where there is no middle point but the extremes of them.
Example:
As I said before, for them there is not (in most of the times) a mid-point, it can be white or black, like a computer, one or zero; but the nuances of life affect them a lot, that's why they are very routine and if you take them out of their routine they get angry and do not see the reason why they did not do as they thought.
