G'day Jessies
So each month I get my fair share of lashings, while not as bad as those of my ancestors I still feel the majority of it is wildly unnecessary. I'm not quite sure what sets people off these days, it seems like a collection of the most innocuous things and you really can't keep track of it all.
I feel like complaining is seen as constructive and being angry at being productive and yet both these things are anything but, in fact, they are the complete opposite.
When will we find a way to move past this?
I've been shouted at by bosses and clients before, had mean things said about me, been threatened too and I assume these are tactics to get you to react and do what they want but if it's not sensible or possible and your point has no merit it really doesn't phase me much.
I just thought by now I would have reached a point where people see that this sort of behaviour does not work and try a different approach, perhaps its naive of me to assume so.
People don't want explanations they just want to be angry
If you enjoy being angry by all means go ahead, have at it, say what you want, shout, throw your hands up, swear, insult me I get that's more a reflection on you than it is on me. I just don't understand why people want explanations only to not be happy with the explanation, then did you even want it in the first place?
What I find truly hilarious is that on another day the exact same explanation can be seen from another perspective and its completely fine. I'm really not a fan of having to deal with this sort of behaviour, its rather deflating and I don't often entertain it.
I usually try to get on with my day and complete my tasks. It just seems like engaging would be a waste of energy and it wouldn't improve the conversation or the situation.
I guess I'll never understand
The more I have to deal with people the more I feel like I'll never understand them. The whole thing just makes me tired.
Have your say
How do you spot trigger warnings and deal with angry people?
Holla at me in the comments! All my commenters I will now refer to as Jessie. Jessie is a good friend of mine, but Jessies got a girl and I want to make her mine.
So have at it my Jessies! If you don't have something to comment, simply comment "I am a Jessie"
