I'm feeling extra thankful for my home and workspace as I've been under the weather the past several days. If I'm going to be be stuck anywhere, I'm glad it's here! One of the greatest advantages of working from home is that I don't have to stress about missing work if I'm not feeling well. I can lounge on my comfy couch with my little space heater on and paint while I recover (I've actually been working on the mini landscapes of the winning images from you guys, coming soon!)
I moved my studio into my one-bedroom apartment almost exactly a year ago. It's nothing fancy, but moving from teaching to full-time freelance, I wanted to keep my overhead low. It has its challenges, but it's so nice to have my work with me at all times and be surrounded by my ideas. It's honestly a mess right now (I'm sick, give me a break!), but here are some images I found on my camera roll.
Another work station in my bedroom. Another easel and it's my shipping area. I'll have to get some good shots in there as well. About 40 artworks reside on the walls.
Another one of my favorite walls. Other than my work you'll see a Sarah Jones abstract mini, Chad Woody intaglio, and a Nick Tarr print. There is so much talent here in Southwest Missouri!
Like I said, it's had its challenges. The biggest one being creating that 32-piece solo show with a number of large pieces. It was like an obstacle course lol. I actually got a number of those space paintings back from the gallery and have redecorated with some. I'll have to take some more photos/video now that the walls have evolved when I've cleaned up and feeling better.
Have a good weekend, Steemians! Thanks for looking!
