Some time ago I promised you to let you see some more pictures from our neighbors in our little village in the Morvan, Burgundy France. They are Charolais cows.
On the first picture, you see my favorite cow. She has curly hair and comes to the fence when I am working in the neighborhood.
The farmers, often little farmers with only a few cows, keep the cows for their meet, which is famous around the world. Not for their milk. the milk is for the calves as you can see on the picture below.
In the same meadow as the cows is the bull. He is very big and I'm often a little frightened when he comes to the fence.
It's a happy family so to speak. The cows and the calves and the one bull.
Sometimes it looks like they are playing with each other.
Most of the time the calf stays close to the mother.
Here is the family together, father, mother and young.
Sometimes they are very close to our plot. On the picture below you see our water well. The cows are just at the other side of the (not so strong) fence.
And last but not least I show you a calf. It's standing next to our blackberry bushes. You can see the last blackberries of this year.
I hope you enjoyed my neighbors as much as I did!
Have a nice day.
