My daughter and her partner are still very busy with their new build house. Unfortunately, Murphies' law is still applicable and things go wrong. So Sjoerd, my husband and I are often asked to take care of little Sam, our grandson. We do it with a lot of love, but when he is back with his parents we are pretty tired and I did not write much on Steemit last week. Not at all to be honest.
Sam is a sweet little boy who (thank heaven) sleeps for about two hours at noon, and when he is awake, he is happy as always.
So once again I decided to make memories for the future, for my grandson Sam, and I post what he did the last time he was here.
He no longer likes bread, which he used to like, but fruit is his favorite. I was not entirely aware of this new situation, so I gave him a sandwich (raisin bread, I thought he would like the raisins) and also a plate with a sliced pear.
This is how it went:
He walks towards the table and sees the two plates.
Without hesitation, he pushes the plate with the sandwich far away.
He goes to the small cupboard with lots of photos. Takes the picture with his parents, goes back to the table and eat the pear as fast as he can.
Then he goes to the plate with the sandwich and starts to feed Grandpa Sjoerd.
Piece by piece Sam brings the whole sandwich to Sjoerd to great amusement of both Sam and myself.
I hope that I can show him this post when he is a bit older. I wonder how he will find his younger self.
Another two weeks to go before his parents (and he of course) move to the new house. Then we return to France, to peace and quiet! (But how must fun it is to have him around these days!)
Have a nice day,
Clio
