I hit a goal today, a big one. It has sparked my desire to grow!
Today I had some mega frustration built up from human interaction. My fella recommended to leave the frustration behind while we went on our morning tromp through the woods. He reminded me of what I often tell him: holding onto that energy is affecting yourself more than it is affecting them. This energy though, can be transmuted into something productive.
So I decided to take his advice and channel it elsewhere. THAT’S WHEN IT HAPPENED.
My goal for this year was to tick-tock my legs back into a forearm stand from a forearm wheel. The image below is a link to a quick video of that goal being reached!
I have been practicing yoga (solo, self-taught) off and on for the past two-three years, really only dedicating time to a semi-daily practice starting this past summer. Since then, I’ve fallen in love with edging my ‘impossibles’. Forearm stands used to seem impossible. Maybe against a wall, maybe never. My shoulders were weak, my back was weak, my drive was weak. After dedicating myself to my breath, I started feeling the raw power and focus within myself bubbling to the surface. I was ready for bigger things. With breath, I’m learning to feel my muscles, understand the tensions and stagnancies within my body as well as experience the luminous glow from these energy awakening practices.
I guess it's time to set a new goal! Would anyone be interested in me sharing more posts or information on yoga? I’ve even tossed the idea around of doing a few videos for Dtube. Maybe I can even get my 200YTT boyfriend in on the action!
And not to disapoint, a gr8 shot of our Doogan Dog beasting earlier this morning for todays #dailydog
