This is from the book of Psalms chapter 1 verses 1-3 of The Message Bible.

I like how the last part pictures a person who walks with the Lord guided by His Word. He/she is like a tree full of like, fruits in season and healthy leaves. Most other translation / versions includes"In all that he does he prospers."

When our minds are filled with God's truths and principles, we make good decisions and we strive not to be caught in a bad place in a bad time (with shady people). Anyone would agree that you have more success in life if you keep this principle rather than be guided by a principle of deceit, lies and unlawful practices.
