This is a very good news for me because it will mean that I will get a better health care particularly getting a more frequent dialysis sessions (or Peritoneal Dialysis) as well as maybe an additional EPO injections although I do not need it anymore. But a problem will arise because my dialysis center is just charging an extra fee whenever I am going for my dialysis treatment even though it is all covered by the "Philhealth" insurance that I am using.
Then also if I were to go for my dialysis I will expedite the use of my dialyzer which will incur me an added expense because dialyzers (the filter) are really expensive if you would buy it out of pocket so I am just glad that it is included in the package of the insurance for dialysis patients here in my country.
But what was included is the so called "LOPS" type of dialyzer which doesn't clean as much so I have to pay about $10 Dollars to get the "High-Flux" which is a very good filter as it has bigger holes to let the bigger molecule uric acid and other nitrogen compound out which gives the patient a better clean of their blood resulting in a better well-being.
The excise tax from Liquor and Tobacco products are high because the current tax from these products are giving the government a high revenue already so I would expect the dramatic changes about how my health insurance would give or improve its coverage and maybe would cover other illnesses of the citizens.
I am also expecting that the excise tax law would get passed before the year ends. I thought that it was already a law before but since the President of Philippines Rodrigo #Duterte had submitted to the Senate telling them to expedite the process to make it a law already then I would really be looking forward for a better healthcare for me and my ailing co-patients.
Many years ago I most of the patients doesn't have this universal health care so they would pay out of pocket especially in dialysis so patients would die because they could not get treated and as a result they would die a lingering death. But now citizens are lucky to have a government that is really sympathetic to the needs of the people which resulted in creating the "Universal Healthcare Act."
Now the people can get access to a better health care without having to bear most of the load of expense from hospitals. So this will result in a healthier people which will result in a more productive units of society which will ultimately result in the growth of the nation.
