Editing images
well: takes time and visual effort, rushing through may not be the wisest investment in ones time.
Considering an edited image allows for stepping back and observing. What are the editor's intentions and from where do they emerge? Looking for connections to the masters is a defining activity that reveals a personal pattern of behavior we may not always find flattering.
This is the connection I find, mostly in color but in texture, shape, and contrast as well.
The jewel that was generously pointed out to me is the crystal clear wine glass.
Is it inappropriate to compare a photo editing style to a painting by Vermeer?
