Why you should want to own a business

As an owner you never have to go on another job interview or look for a job because if you want a job the CEO works for you.
As an owner you never again have to worry about the glass ceiling because you can set your salary.
As owner you can hire some of the people in your life so that they can better their lives.
As owner you can sell a successful business and use the cash to buy even more businesses.

In my opinion it is better to be an owner than to merely be cash rich. An owner can give themselves a job and or give jobs to others. If you are merely cash rich you might get bored over time if you don't have anything to do but as an owner you can create a job for yourself which benefits your business.

The real estate example

For example you can start out in real estate owning rental apartment properties which you hire someone else to manage on your behalf. After the rental properties make a nice profit you can buy another rental property and expand the business. You can expand into commercial real estate, you can own barber shops and hair salons, you can own retail stores, you can own hotels, and all of this you can pay others to run.

Running and owning a business are two different things. I understand why people don't want to run a business because being a CEO is not for everyone. Why doesn't everyone want to be an owner?
