The earth has one way of messing stuff up for us. Truth me told, not everything can work out as perfectly as planned. That would take supernatural some bit of supernatural power or a truckload of luck. Most of us plan stuff, we tell ourselves, "This is the big break I've been waiting for." And when it doesn't work out we beat ourselves up about it. Not all of our wishes will come true, otherwise, most of us would be millionaires by now. Most probably, the reason some accounts are successful here on Steemit is because they were meant to succeed at that particular time and the others weren't meant to (at that particular time).
This theory is relative though. Hardwork changes some things a bit. While it would be a really different story if somebody sat at home and expected a job (which never came), a person who went out to look for jobs would shift his chances a bit. Indeed there is every likelihood of failure, but at least you would have tried. Hardwork and toil gives you more edge, hope.
But then of course somebody would necessarily refer me to people who don't have to work as hard to get what they want. That's where my first theory would apply (though it's not much of a theory). Everything cannot work out for everybody at the same time, otherwise, we would live in a really weird world.
