where the fence ends the problems begin
There is a lot of political talk about the southern border of the USA. To a logical person, it is obvious that a country should be allowed to defend its borders or at least know who and what is crossing them. Even a county that is supposed to be as free as the USA, should know who is entering, at a minimum, for the security of the system. I sometimes wish we could retroactively revoke the citizenship of all the socialists currently living in the county.
The mostly hidden push behind the illegal migration is the groups for open borders. While "open borders" sounds like a nice idea, it is more than just a method of chipping away at the sovereignty of a nation. Open borders also is a way to remove personal possessions. If a government can't claim its borders, then an individual can't claim they're property rights. It goes hand in hand, and the statists know this.
Most people don't know the The Declaration of Independence originally ended with Life, Liberty and Property, three rights that were natural, inherent, and inalienable. There is a big debate as to why Jefferson changed Locke's wording, but the key here is that property is a right, not created by governments or handed out by men.
I am having my own little property and fence issue. My neighbor decided to cut down some large trees in their yard. It made a big mess, which is understandable. They piled the wood near our fence. I assumed this was temporary and they would move it later. Well, I noticed today that they actually built a wood rack along the fence.
I am not sure what they are thinking. I didn't put up my fence, some previous owner did and they took an easy route of going from one side neighbor fence to the other in an almost straight line. This left a good portion of the yard on the outside of the fence. Both the wood piles are on my property. The wood stand is even on the portion of my property straight back from my house. I could understand the first location might be a mistake, but the second location is obviously not in their yard.
Maybe they figured hiding it behind a bush in my yard would keep me from ever finding out.
So, at some point, I have to talk to my neighbor about this. Or, I will just cut up the wood and put it around my fire pit.
Let the positive energy sing!
