The highest value in peer to peer cash is payments without permission. Payment without license. If there is something that can dictate permission it must be you. Anything else are middleman.
For separating groupthink from money, property, justice, election and finally education and speech, like separating groupthink from religion and mariage before, is exactly this: mind the gap. Mind the middleman. You'd rather want that service small.
While many services are a good thing, they are not when it comes to KYC. While knowing your customers is a good thing, handing over personalized data is not. Even laws for data protection preach this in high esteem: Only hand over relevant data. So what is this data relevant for? And who is behind it? Do you need their data? Then they most certainly don't need yours. They want it though.
Those data is collected to target you. And that's no exaggeration. They will gun you down one by one if you are a target and they are not. It is like in war Is peace, freedom Is slavery, and ignorance Is strength. That is the realm of Doublethink, which is what allows "the people" to live with constant contradictions in their lives. Doublethink is the ability to hold two opposing ideas in one’s mind simultaneously. Cognitive Dissonance is another term describing the same phenomenon.
This is: thinking you being a source, an origin, but actually being a target. We are only touching Intellectual Property here. You can not be the source if there is a permitting middleman. There can not be strength in ignorance, nor freedom in slavery, nor peace in war. There can not be peer-to-peer in permission nor license.
Peer-to-peer is about nothing less than the separation of state and power. So if permissionlessness is treason, make the most of it!
