When I was much younger, I often contemplate on what I could do to make my late father Happy. So I thought; would it be a good idea for me to reconstruct his tomb whenever I had the money? Would it be advisable for me to purchase flowers and convey them on his tomb? Or then again would it be advisable for me to go to his tomb and spend hours with him? All these entered my thoughts yet today I figured he will be more thrilled if I could bring his words alive.
So today I am sharing an expression of my father's thought and his idiom. Most importantly, one of the lessons I learned from him. My father wasn't much of a talker; however, every bit of his expressions came as lessons. Among the things he said was "Never sleep with another person's eyes" I didn't get an opportunity to hear him say this but since my mother often emphasized it, I likewise became mindful and learned the lesson he had put to it.

A lot of times we progress toward becoming casualties of this as we neglect to value our originality and uniqueness. What my dad implied by this maxim was " Don't Lose your originality while attempting to be another person" while composing this piece, I gained more comprehension to it and I won't neglect to share it with you. Read it conscientiously. The reason we were not made as robots is a direct result of the idea of originality. God would have effortlessly completed a large scale manufacturing of humankind yet He didn't on the grounds that He adores distinctiveness.
Most people are yet to unleash their potential since they are caught up in attempts to be another person. You can't find true self and acknowledge your identity if you are trying so hard to be like someone else.
Everybody is wired distinctively that is the reason struggling to be someone else whose wiring is entirely different from yours makes life “complex “
You can't sing like Celine Dion or Akon, you can't move in the correct route as Michael Jackson, you can't talk like Ime Bishop (Okon Lagos), you can’t write like Brain Tracy does. My emphasis here is you can't be someone else other than you, and that isn't a thing to feel tragic about.
This write up is not against admiring and having a role model. Admiring a role model is a nice thing to do but losing your uniqueness is what my father was against. Each time you make an attempt to be another person, you dupe yourself and reject in totality the entire of who you truly are.
The issue with “sleeping with another person's eyes" ' is that you turn into a drifting identity. You are neither here nor there (you should be X however you Act like Y).

I met a young fellow as of late who had begun talking and acting like his other colleague and he was so glad he was presently 'perfect' in acting like his colleague so I asked him "where is your own unique voice now? What's more, his answer stunned me “I don't know" .
