Day 5
The weather wasn’t that good. It seemed not to be a good day for being lazy at the beach. So we decided to leave Nesebar and drive to Istanbul. But before leaving Nesebar we wanted to jump into the Black Sea once.
We drove down to Burgas and then to the border to Turkey.
On the way there we met 2 bikers from Poland who are doing are great motorbike trip too.
Some kilometers before getting to the border to turkey the roads are getting worse. We had to cross some dusty gravel roads
I love powertapes
At the border we met a turkish motorbiker who invited us to come to his office on Monday.
He gave us some information about Istanbul. After about 1 hour we did all the boring paperwork and may cross the border. The streets which are directly behind the turkish border are like a racetrack. They are empty and in good condition with highspeed curves.
Selcuk the guy we met at the border
The first meal in Turkey at a Gasstation.
Like expected there were much traffic on the highway in Istanbul. There was a terrible dense traffic in the city itself. It was difficult to find the hostel. I was completely exhausted after driving around and keeping behind Andreas in Istanbul to find the Hostel but it’s very nice. It has a great atmosphere and a great staff. There you’ll meet crazy people from all over the world.
Tuba a wonderful person who worked in the hostel. She offered a cookie to my Friend Andreas but didn't remember that she has bitten in it once :)
In the Lobby of the Chillout Hostel in Taksim
A man who has just finished work at the hostel showed us some nice places where a lot was going on and drank a beer with us. After having a little walk around in Taksim we went back to the Hostel Lobby and just relaxed there with the other visitors and the receptionists from the hostel.
There was a lot going on in the streets of Istanbul
Today we rode 411km.
