PARAMORE LIVE IN JAKARTA 2018

Hey there steemians! Phew, it's been a pretty stressful month for me thanks to my college applications, but I've finally had the time to put everything aside for a bit and started writing again. In this blog I'm going to tell you about my experience when I went to see the Paramore concert in Jakarta. This was the first Paramore concert I've been to. Overall, as you'd expect from a typical concert, the experience was astounding, so you can't really critique events such as concerts, you can just enjoy them. The concert was held on the 25th of August, 2018, which fortunately landed on a Saturday, so I wasn't too stressed out about schoolwork only until the day after.

The event was held at the ICE BSD City Convention Centre, just a short 1 hour drive from Jakarta. This venue is the most frequently used for concerts in Indonesia, international and local. I arrived at ICE at about 4 PM in the afternoon, where the concert was scheduled to begin at 8. This was considered quite late compared to a lot of other international concerts which usually start at around 6 to 7 PM due to the fact that there was an opening act by a local Indonesian band called Kotak. To be honest, they weren't amazing. They were just OK, probably because I wasn't that keen on their type of music either.

I went to the concert with 3 of my friends. On the photo, from left to right, was Nick, Agnes, Giselle, and me. They were my High School friends, and I would consider to be pretty close to each and one of them. It was a cloudy but humid day, so although it looked like the weather was chilly, we were actually sweating our asses off. We waited for about 2 hours until they opened the gates, and when they did, two of the girls were still in the bathroom, which I should mention was VERY far from the venue, as access to into the venue itself was still forbidden until the open gate time. So they had to find a public bathroom on the other side of the concert hall. Auspiciously, they came back just in time before we entered the building gates. We entered the hall, waited for about 30 minutes, and before you know it the opening act started to perform. It went on for about an hour, and directly transitioned into the main event. In conclusion, the concert was amazing as predicted, Hayley Williams, Zac Farro, and Taylor York were amazing, and the staff were very coordinated so everything went very smoothly. Here was the concert setlist:
