Hi everyone, this time from Lviv, that became capital of jazz in Ukraine for a few days 25-30 of June hosting annual Leopolis Jazz Fest.
That celebration of music united people from different countries, of all the ages and backgrounds. Young and old
could enjoy the cheerful atmosphere not depending on anything including the income as ones who couldn't afford
the tickets would just enjoy the performance in fan relax zone on big screens with lots of places to sit, eat and be entertained in
case of kids, making the event very family friendly.
I came back from Odessa only on Sunday but it seemed to be the most spectacular according to the feedback of my acquaintances.
Everyone just fell in love with jazz of talented performer from USA Peter Cincotti. His "Long way from home" didn't live anyone indifferent.
Another American Kenny Barron, a legend of jazz history, a composer, arranger was prized with Golden Leo of Leopolis Jazz Fest. He received this award as one of the most prominent musicians who made a significant contribution to the development of jazz music.
Since 2011 the best jazz musicians from various countries performed on Leopolis Jazz Fest stages, among others, the US, Great Britain, Sweden, Ukraine, Italy, France, Austria, Switzerland, Israel, Germany, Turkey, Canada, Poland, Denmark, Lithuania, and Luxembourg.
