The priority of researching what has been done is over. Further research is in the hands of those bold souls that are eager to develop and discover what can be realized.
We know the threat that is looming over our heads, and we know the equipment has shown us it could protect us. But how to make it happen is the challenge. Along the way, there are so many necessary and amazing possibilities: from lossless, faster than light communications and signal processing advances to antigravity and FTL space flight. But first, and foremost: how to survive the extinction events from extreme weather on the planet and extreme weather in space that will broach the atmosphere and set what's left of our geomagnetic field against us?
Here's a few thoughts of how we need to proceed. No one will be able to pull these all off by themselves. Its time for organizations to arise, or step forward with an open commitment to protect all life on our planet.
