A two-story home or structure can have a staircase- plain or grand. An escalator or elevator are options, too!
It's all a matter of preference of course, but I for one will go for a grand staircase as it can be a major design element, an important piece that showcases the character of the home and its occupants.
It's the same thing with life, we can opt to lead a simple one or a grand one- again a matter of perspective as both simple and grand are subjective.
We may opt to build a simple staircase, just might be the easiest to make and most cost-effective one, too!
We can create fancy escalators or elevators even, pricey, yes but would be right up there in terms of efficiency, less physical effort for users as well as providing an easy way to transport heavy stuff.
Or one can build a grand staircase. A little bit costly, requiring some physical effort to use, but would always be a reminder of the strength of character yourself, and your house, have.
And you can make it as pretty as you'd want it to be, allowing you to walk through life leisurely while enjoying the experience in every step you take.
A word of caution though- it is said that falls are among the leading causes of accidental injuries and deaths in homes and communities, so make sure to prioritize safety when building one. Of course we can only take so much precaution, and nothing is ever guaranteed.
Just like in life, the best we can do is prepare and set things in motion, hopeful that we wouldn't stumble and take that fatal fall.
It's all about the journey, and a grand staircase definitely suits me.
