I'm in a strange floaty place today, this, the third day of my water fast and high intensity morning workout, so I'll just be giving the highlights.
My husband, decided he was all done with the belly he'd built steadily over the last five years. Once upon a time he was a gym rat and 210 pounds of solid muscle, and even when he was no longer running to the weight room he still kept in shape. But ever since we came back to NY from our year of roughing it in the Ozark mountains of Missouri...well to be honest we got a little lazy and started enjoying food a little too much.
We tried curbing it, even went vegetarian for a few years, but sometime in the past year we lost sight of it all- and damn did we ever manage to pack on the pounds! So now begins the year of getting back in shape, the warrior's way.
For my part of it, the larger objective is to feel comfortable on the other side of the camera (and not grimace in the changing room at clothing stores), along with clarity of thought and feeling strong enough to hike up mountains again- for him, well he's nearing fifty years old and decided if he's going to keep living like he's in his twenties he better make sure his body is up to the task.
He began ten days before me, also starting with a three day water fast, and as of yesterday he took off 13 pounds- go freaking Howie! At this time next week I'll be able to report some results of my own, so stay tuned...I'm off to do my 'afternoon winter workout' aka playing expert level beat saber on the VR headset- it's like the wii only better:
One of these days I'll have Howie record me in action- that should be entertaining :)
Hope everyone is awesome, thanks for stopping by!
