I can't add a whole lot to this one since it basically sums up my views on the subject. Maybe I would add that people should be educated on gun safety, encouraged to do some target practice so they feel comfortable with the firearm- being nervous with it is a recipe for disaster. You wouldn't want to pull a gun on a gunman if you didn't know how to use it.
