How lucky am I?
Leaving work a bit early, yesterday I crossed the road from where I work in the city and was promptly picked up by my wife and daughter. We headed south.
It's a pretty good feeling driving away, especially if you're not going home but to a hotel/resort.
We don't really do weekend getaways very often - I guess like most people. But I know too that even once would be more than many people here on Steemit, so I am very grateful.
Hopefully we are building a world where more people can enjoy leisure time with their families and loved ones - time to relax and enjoy life instead of working all the time.
And we all know what work is, don't we?
So the picture above is the view we woke up to this morning. The Gold Coast is on the coast but in the photo the beach lies beyond the strip of buildings in the distance. Our hotel complex is a few kilometres from the surf, but it doesn't matter. There's an awesome pool here, and even in autumn, it's warm enough to swim.
So now, it's time to relax with my family.
